Moraga Rotary’s Night At the Races: They have helped us out numerous times, now it is on us to return the favor: Moraga Rotary will celebrate its Night at the Races fundraiser on Saturday, March 12. As always, they will have a cash bar and they need three caring Orinda Rotarians to help tend bar. The event will be held at Holy Trinity Hall, 1700 School Street in Moraga. Doors open 5:30 pm. Stop Hunger Now! President Frank Brunetti and our Club’s Endowment Committee have elected to participate in Rotary’s “Stop Hunger Now!” campaign as this year’s International Project. Stop Hunger Now gets food and life-saving aid to the world’s most vulnerable people, and works to end global hunger in our lifetime. Established in 1998, it has provided over 225 million meals in 73 countries. And now Orinda Rotarians have an opportunity to assist in this worthy effort. Volunteers will meet in the Orinda Community Center’s Founders Auditorium at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23 immediately following Orinda Action Day. We will be assembling packets of food to be delivered to countries in need. Seventy-five volunteers are needed for two hours, so bring your family and friends!
