ANNOUNCEMENTS - OCTOBER 2

Barbara Bontemps was pleased to announce that "Dancing with the Cars" was a great success for the club -- and the evening raised iin excess of $30,000. She will be reconciling expenses and the final tally will be announced soon.  Thank you to all the Rotarians who helped make the evening so memorable: Lance Cowles, Marshall Johnson, Tony Sloan, Dan Gannett, Dan Lawrence, Frank Darling, Jack Bontemps, Gray Eliot, David Goss, Janet Keeter (and family!), Gary Wong, Dina Zapanta, Sue Breedlove, Jose Avelar, Dick Burkhalter, Weyling Eng, Cindy Girgis, Carlos Rangel, Charles Mounzer -- and especially Art Roth our fabulous auctioneer! Thanks also to all the Rotarians who attended! (Apologies to anyone I may have left out!)

Lance Cowles extended a big thank-you to all of the club members who turned out for Tom Fitch Fishing Day at the San Pablo Reservoir.  It was a beautiful day and the kids really enjoyed their outing.

Robert Berber thanked all those who attended Poker Night -- It was especially nice to see Jose Avelar out and about since his hip replacement surgery! Ray Bergez was the big winner at Poker, taking home a whopping $15.00 (or so)!

Anglea Warren and Parveneh Poirier have applied for membership in the Club -- let's hear it for the ladies!

President Sue gave speciall recognition to all of the team leaders who are working hard to bring us great speakers and programs: David Goss, Lance Cowles, Dick Marchick, Dan Lawrence, Frank Darling, Dick Burkhalter, Larry Olson, Carter Wells, Jackie Horwitz, Jo Ann McKee, Joyce Hawkins, Linda Delehunt -- Thanks all for your efforts!

Jean Lyford has completed her chemotherapy -- Thanks to everyone who assisted her in getting to appointments and provided support through her treatment with calls, cards and empathy. Jean, we are happy you are through it and hope to see you soon!
