A WEEK OF MUSIC!

JULY 19 AT THE LAFAYETTE RESERVOIR: The Rossmoor Big Band salutes the troops and our veterans with a USO-Style concert starting at 5:30 p.m., featuring The Swingin' Blue Stars (Andrew Sisters tribute trio) and great music from the era of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey and more! Bring a picnic and enjoy!

DON'T MISS THE MIKE VAX BIG BAND with CAMMIE THOMPSON JULY 22! This Rotary-sponsored big band concert will be held at Orinda's Community Center Park from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

OPERA IN THE PARK: Our annual celebration of opera classics featuring the performers from Open Opera will be held Sunday, July 27 at Orinda's Community Center Park from 4 until 6 p.m. Be there!

TICKETS FOR DANCING WITH THE CARS NOW ON SALE: Tickets for our club's largest fundraiser are now on sale through our website (just click on the "Rebels with a Cause" icon on our home page. The date is Friday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center and Library Plaza. Put a group together and join us for a fun evening of classic 50's cars, food by Shelby's, liberal libations, silent and live auctions, and, of course, dancing!

Thanks to all who participated in the 4th of July parade -- especially Jackie Horwitz who (miraculously) pulled us together! Special thanks also to Lance Cowles, Clay Deanhardt, Dan Gannett and the Beer Booth Gang for spending their afternoon fighting the foam and earning around $2,000 for the club!! Great job, guys! Thanks to Drake's Brewing (AGAIN!) for their generosity in donating the suds.
