Join our virtual celebration at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd to honor Orinda Unified School District's Teachers of the Year! This annual recognition is sponsored by Orinda Rotary to award outstanding educators for their dedication, creativity and commitment to Orinda's K-8 students and to our community. Site-specific teachers from each of Orinda's five schools, as well as those who serve multiple sites are nominated and chosen by a panel of educators and district personnel. A district-wide honoree is also selected. All school site honorees receive a plaque denoting their achievement and they are awarded a $250 stipend, with the District honoree receiving $500. During the celebration, each school principal or director will speak about the Teacher of the Year from his/her site, and each Teacher of the Year will have the opportunity to say a few words to Rotarians. Don't miss this opportunity to raise a toast to these outstanding indivduals who are doing their best to keep our students on track during these difficult times!
