Orinda Rotary at the Classic Car Show

Orinda Rotary became a proud partner in the 8th Annual Orinda Classic Car show last September.  The event -- which benefits a variety of local charities including the Educational Foundation of Orinda and the Orinda Association's "Seniors Around Town" transportation program will be held this year over the weekend of September 20 with a gala dinner/auction, car show and movie night.  Rotary has ben asked to chair the "Dancing with the Cars" dinner and auction, which is the key fundraiser for the event.  Last year was a record-setting year with over 200 classic cars shown -- from Model A's to a fine collection of Shelby Mustangs to the latest Tesla -- and over $55,000 was raised.  Chip and Carolyn Herman, co-chairs and founders of the Car Show, generously gave Orinda Rotary over $4,800 from the proceeds. We're hoping this year's show will be even more successful and encourage our members to get involved!
