ORINDA & MORAGA'S FINEST: RESCUE ONE FOUNDATION

When Orindans Dial 9-1-1, they receive service from the finest paramedic service in Northern California.  Rescue One Foundation is  the first citizen-inspired foundation in the State of California working entirely in support of its local fire district and paramedic program. The Moraga-Orinda Fire District has received over $300,000 from Rescue One since it was established in 1977.  Through these funds, Rescue One supports the fire district’s paramedic programs, purchasing equipment and education materials, and providing education programs for paramedic personnel. (All firefighters are certified paramedics.)

 

Rescue One does not actively solicit donations, but depends on donors to take initiative in giving.  Rescue One Foundation donors have made possible the purchase of such vital items as CPR training equipment, heavy rescue equipment, radio and telephone communication equipment, and state-of –the-art cardiac monitors/defribulators that provide wireless data transmission to local hospitals.

Contributions enable Rescue One to supplement the fire district’s budget for rescue equipment and supplies.  Past contributors have included community business organizations, service clubs, and hundreds of grateful residents.  All contributions are fully tax deductible and may be made in the form of gifts of appreciation, memorials, or annual donations.
