Together with the Rotary Foundation, the Governors of the five Northern California Rotary Districts have set up a Northern 
California Fire Recovery Fund for the communities so devastated by the recent fire storms in Napa, Lake, Solano and Sonoma Counties. It has been established to streamline the flow of contributions from Rotarians and others looking to assist fire victims. The fund will be directed by the District Governors in consultation with the affected districts. It will work with local Rotary clubs and districts, as well as relief agencies, to address the needs of people in affected areas. So far, Orinda Rotarians have donated and pledged $7,200 to this cause. Contributions to the Rotary Endowment Fund are tax deductible. We hope all of our members will contribute to the Fire Recovery Fund and we welcome public donations, as well. Checks can be sent to the Rotary Club of Orinda, P. O. Box 44, Orinda, CA 94563.
